“Could I ask you all please to Stand Up Against Poverty?”

ANTIER FUÉ UN DIA MARAVILLOSO, UN AMIGO-GALÁN ME INVITÓ A UN EVENTO DE PROTESTA CONTRA LA POBREZA... DONDE LO QUE DIJERON LO COPIO AL FINAL... REFLEXIONEMOS, ¿QUÉ PODEMOS HACER CADA UNO CONTRA LA POBREZA?

- PODEMOS SENSIBILIZAR A LOS DEMÁS AL RESPECTO

- PODEMOS COMPRAR PRODUCTOS DE COMERCIO JUSTO

- PODEMOS SER VOLUNTARIOS

- PODEMOS INICIAR UN PEQUEÑO O UN GRAN PROYECTO

-Ó SIMPLEMENTE, PODEMOS SER INDIFERENTES

We are standing now with millions around the world on this symbolic day, the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty, to show solidarity with people living in poverty everywhere and to renew our commitment to the fight against extreme poverty and inequality.

We are standing because every day 50,000 people die needlessly as a result of extreme poverty, and the gap between rich and poor is getting wider.

We are standing to call on leaders – from both rich and poor countries –
to honour their promises to meet the Millennium Development Goals.

We are standing here at the United Nations because we pledge to step
up our efforts to build support for the MDGs, and to keep the
campaign to end extreme poverty at the heart of our work.

Today, and every day, we will stand up and speak out against poverty.
We are millions of voices standing in solidarity to say: Keep the Promise,
end poverty now.
